 Great movie, unexpected plot twist February 18, 2008
From the moment the kidnapper pops up, I expected a fairly routine story. However, what we get is the opposite.
Nothing seems to make sense, the motive is a mystery, how far the guy will go is an unknown, the couple's options are nil, and the times when they try to gain the upper hand don't pan out, and make even less sense.
Each new turn in the film leaves you more and more desperate to figure out what in the heck is going on, just like the couple is feeling.
Even when it's near the end, at the cabin, it's not over. Not until they reveal it completely does it all make sense, and even then, there's still a couple of parts that I haven't figure out yet, but it's not the kind of movie I could watch again. Not because it wasn't great; it's just one of those that I only watch once.
Not really shattered February 15, 2008
Shattered was a fun movie. Surprise after surprise. Lots of very good questions were raised during the course of the movie, but (spoiler!) at the end, it ends up nobody was really shattered. Nobody's life was shattered. Only a couple of relationships were slightly bent. And the whole "...butterfly...on a wheel..." reference was vague at best. Over all, an entertaining movie, if not quite believable.

The wife of cheater and the husband of the woman
get "even" in a psychological way
that is "shattering" to the ad executive involved.
It involves the kidnapping of his young daughter.
Well acted and filmed the film is full of action and surprises.

I enjoyed "Shattered" very much..and especially the performance of Gerard Butler..an actor who sometimes "flys under the radar" but so talented!!
If you like suspense, you will enjoy this movie!!
A 10-STAR MOVIE!!! February 7, 2008
This is one of Pierce Brosnan's best performances I think. Not only that but the movie itself was on the edge-of-your-seat type and I was riveted to the screen the entire time. I sure was not prepared for the final scenes of the movie. Unbelievable! Very suspenseful.
