Product Description
THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S TOP-SELLING DOCUMENTARY!Two heart-warming extraordinary experiences for one low price! For centuries wolves have been characterized as bloodthirsty beasts tormentors of ranchers and the bane of helpless livestock. Determined to overcome this misconception filmmakers Jamie and Jim Dutcher - creators of the Emmy-winning Wolves at Our Door - spent six years in a tented camp in the wilderness of Idaho living with a pack of wolves listening to them and earning their trust.Living With WolvesJoin the Dutchers as they share their extraordinary experiences living with the Sawtooth Wolf Pack in this Emmy-nominated film. Exclusive footage reveals the innermost details of life in the pack - its unique social structure how wolf cubs are raised within the group and how these powerful creatures interact with man. Overcoming forest fires marauding mountain lions and sub-zero winters the Dutchers and these elusive intelligent animals share the heartwarming and unique partnership of human and predator.Wolves at Our DoorWinner of 2 Emmy Awards. This heartwarming tale follows Jim and Jamie Dutcher as they raise a pack of gray wolves and document these affectionate creatures' most intimate behaviors. By bottle-feeding them as puppies and being a constant presence in their lives the Dutchers gained unprecedented acceptance into the world of these great canines. The wolves' reputation as savage beasts proves to be unfounded. And the Dutchers' closeness to this pack allows you to see intimate scenes of the wolves playing courting and caring for their young.System Requirements:Running Time: 150 Mins.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: DOCUMENTARIES/MISC. 5 out of 5 stars Awesome.   November 16, 2008
I caught this on television one late night when I was on vacation and loved it so much that it had to buy it and share it with my dog loving family and friends. If you aren't teary-eyed at the end you couldn't have been much interested in wolves or dogs to began with. It is intelligent, not "reality tv", and stunning visually. It is one of those life-changing type films for us, essentially a nature documentary with a heartwarming plot. Intelligence and heart. Lakota and Kumatz rule!

Having read the book it was great to actually view the documentary. This was exactly what I was after and the pre-purchase details described it well.

5 out of 5 stars Awesomely beautiful and heartwarming   April 10, 2008
I've never seen a documentary on wolf behavior like this before. It is truely amazing how these wolves came to trust Jim and Jamie. The sawtooth pack was as beautiful as the mountains they were raised in.

I thought this was amazing... saw it on discovery channel and had to order it. One of the best documentaries I have seen. Jim and Jamie are awesome people. A real tear jerker for animal lovers or at least I thought, but then again it was hard for me to watch King Kong. So highly recomended.

5 out of 5 stars Exquisite!   February 26, 2008
Breath taking documentary. I saw a lot of NG documentaries this is the first that made me feel ecstatic..
Maybe because we are so close to wolves (family ,pack etc ) or the nature of it was so good ,does not mater as a whole it is the best I have seen
